2026-2027 Season

Trillium Trio

October brings an exciting new chamber ensemble to Johnstown as the Trillium Trio makes its Concert Series debut. Named after the beautiful three-petaled wildflower native to western Pennsylvania, the trio was formed at Carnegie Mellon University in the fall of 2025 and has already established itself as one of Pittsburgh’s most promising young chamber ensembles.

The trio consists of:

  • William Geiler – Piano
  • Joshua Lee – Violin
  • Emma Julia Locarnini – Clarinet

Despite being a relatively new ensemble, the musicians have compiled impressive individual accomplishments. The trio received Honorable Mention in Carnegie Mellon University’s Chamber Music Competition and was named among the winners of the prestigious 2026 Pittsburgh Concert Society Competition.

Each member brings remarkable credentials:

  • Pianist and composer William Geiler is an accomplished collaborative pianist and composer trained at Carnegie Mellon University.
  • Violinist Joshua Lee has appeared as soloist with numerous orchestras in both the United States and Canada and has earned multiple concerto competition victories.
  • Clarinetist Emma Julia Locarnini has performed with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and was awarded the Stanley Drucker Prize at the Buffet Crampon Summer Festival.

Their performance promises refined ensemble playing, exciting interpretations of chamber music literature, and the enthusiasm that only outstanding young artists can bring to the concert stage.
